ROI (Region of Interest)

computer vision literature, as the name suggests, ROI is used to identify regions in image that are of certain importance in a context that is specific to a task.

Visual saliency has been adapted from neuroscience to computer vision. Formally defining, saliency is a property of the image (or a patch of image) that stands out of its neighbouring pixels to human eyes
